Case Study:
Lucky Drops
Location:
tokyo, japan
The tiny house design of Lucky Drops maximizes the allotted buidable area of the site to provide the most effective livable and functional space for the occupant.
Tekuto developed a unique multi-layered external envolope design that was able to be functional while taking up a minimum amount of the site’s area. Using only insulation, thin glass-reinforced plastic, even thinner internal membrane, and steel ribbing for support, Tekuto was able to create an external wall with a thickness of about 69 mm.
The thin envolope meant the house is almost completely transluscent. The house thus creates a unique experience in which the occupant is neither exposed nor concealed by the envelope.
